You’ve spent a lifetime caring about people. Creating a legacy will ensure that your spirit of care and generosity will continue when you are no longer here, yet it won’t impact your current financial situation.
The simplest way to make a legacy gift is to name JCA in your will, life insurance policy, or retirement plan. Use the form linked below to communicate your wishes to your attorney.

There are many different ways to secure your legacy.
Everyone has a unique family and financial situation, and your legacy gift of any size can be customized to suit your personal circumstances.
Planned gifts give donors the satisfaction of knowing they are helping their chosen organization fulfill its mission for generations to come. Another benefit is peace of mind in knowing that estate plans are in order and that personal needs as well as those of loved ones will be met while charitable intentions will be fulfilled. Additionally, many deferred gifts receive favorable tax treatment.
Planned gifts can take several forms
Bequests: A bequest specified in your will may be a predetermined amount, a percentage of a final estate, or the residual of an estate after all other bequests have been made.
Donor Advised Fund: Make gifts to charity during your lifetime, and after your lifetime, your children can carry on your legacy of giving. Contributions to a DAF are generally tax-deductible in the year they are made, even if the donor recommends grants to charities at a later date.
Charitable Remainder Trust: A fund in your name or that of your family can set aside an asset for a favorite nonprofit organization while continuing to receive annual income from it during your lifetime. Upon termination of the trust, the remaining principal reverts to the charity or charities that you name.
Making a planned gift is a wonderful way to show your support and appreciation for JCA and its mission while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. Smart planning enables you to possibly increase the size of your contribution to JCA and/or reduce the tax burden on your heirs. Just as important, a planned gift is a meaningful contribution to JCA.
