JCA helps older adults remain in life’s mainstream for as long and as independently as possible with a range of support, solutions, and opportunities including reliable referrals and information through the Senior HelpLine and State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP); safe, affordable local transportation; employment programs for people age 50 and older; the Kensington Clubs adult day programs for people with early-stage memory loss; and the Heyman Interages Center that connects seniors with K–12 students. Together, we are improving the lives of our aging friends and neighbors.
Your donation can provide: $50 – One hour of connecting people with solutions and referrals to JCA programs or other community resources. $25 – Paints for an art therapy session at JCA’s Kensington Clubs for people with early-stage memory loss. $18 – Props for a session of Interages Reader’s Theater where volunteers and elementary school students present dramatic readings. $15 – WMATA senior bus pass for two weeks for a jobseeker to take ESL classes or receive job training.
