The Kursban family – Mindy Kursban, Sandy Kursban, Julie Black, Steve Sawmelle and Neal Kursban – are JCA’s 2017 Humanitarian Awardees.
Sandy Kursban founded the family-owned Family & Nursing Care in Silver Spring in 1968. The company provides in-house nursing care. Three generations of the Kursban family are involved in the company, which has 335 employees.
According to President Neal Kursban, Family & Nursing Care stands out because it is committed to being on the forefront of the industry.
They will be honored at JCA’s 24th Annual Sylvia Blajwas Progressive Aging Award Dinner on May 21.

Closed for weather
Due to frigid temperatures and icy conditions, Kensington Clubs and Kesher Cafe will be closed for in-person programming for the remainder of this week, January 22, 23, and 24. Programs will be held virtually on Zoom. All KC and Kesher Cafe members are invited to participate and can find the Zoom link in their email.
