xxLegacy Gifts

Make a gift to future generations.

You’ve spent a lifetime helping people. Creating a legacy gift will ensure that such help will continue when you are no longer here, yet it won’t impact your current financial situation.

The simplest way to make a legacy gift is to name JCA in your will, life insurance policy or retirement plan. Here is a codicil that you might discuss with your attorney:

I bequeath the sum of _________ dollars [OR all of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate OR an amount equal to _____ percent of the net value of my estate] to the Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington, Inc., Federal Tax ID 52-0983740, a charity that has its headquarters office in Rockville, Maryland. It is my intent that this bequest be used for the area of greatest need at the time it is received [OR specify a specific purpose that you have discussed with JCA].

JCA promises to be a good steward of the funds you entrust to us. We also will be forever grateful!

We invite you to complete our Legacy Gift Form — one form per person please — to tell us about a commitment you have made or plan to make.

Creating a Jewish Legacy

JCA is proud to be a pioneer member of the Greater Washington Jewish Community’s Create a Jewish Legacy Campaign, which is described in this video.

By naming philanthropic organizations in their wills, life insurance policies or other estate plans, donors enable their good deeds and cherished values to continue when they are no longer here.
