Donate to the Heyman Interages Center

collage of seniors and volunteers

JCA’s Heyman Interages Center connects older adults with children and youth through mentoring, tutoring, literacy, and other volunteer programs in public schools and community organizations. Interages programs help students by narrowing the achievement gap and support older adults’ social well-being by reducing isolation and loneliness. Your gift builds bridges across generations. Please visit the Interages webpage to learn more about this program, which brings generations together and enables seniors to continue contributing through volunteering.

Your donation supports the Heyman Interages Center in so many ways:

  • $25 provides snacks/refreshments for monthly volunteer orientation meeting
  • $50 provides electronic fingerprinting and background check for one individual to be eligible to volunteer in MCPS schools
  • $150 provides one SHARE session where youth and older adults form meaningful connections through fun activities during weekly one-hour programs
  • $200 provides our services to one student for the school year
