CEO David Gamse was honored for his 30 years leading the Jewish Council for the Aging and received a proclamation from the Montgomery County Council at its Jan. 19 meeting. Gamse retired at the end of 2020.
Council President Tom Hucker called Gamse, “truly a pillar of our community and a force for good for decades.” County Executive Marc Elrich praised Gamse for his work on justice and seniors, noting, “You really do work to make the world a better place. You made Montgomery County a better place.”
Gamse praised Elrich and the county, saying when it comes to aging, “You get it.”

Closed for weather
Due to frigid temperatures and icy conditions, Kensington Clubs and Kesher Cafe will be closed for in-person programming for the remainder of this week, January 22, 23, and 24.
