Your expertise can change lives. JCA’s Board of Directors works with the staff leadership team to help older adults and their families thrive in the Washington, D.C. region. Bringing together highly experienced and talented individuals, the Board provides strategic guidance and support for the organization.

We’re looking for dedicated Board Members who commit to JCA’s mission and values, love to cultivate relationships with diverse individuals in furtherance of JCA’s mission, and who have a genuine passion for empowering older adults, caregivers, and students.

As a Board Member, you will be expected to:

  • Help Raise Funds
  • Select, support, and assess the performance of the CEO
  • Develop and monitor implementation of JCA’s strategic plan
  • Evaluate the organization’s impact and effectiveness
  • Assist in identifying and recruiting other Board Members
  • Serve on at least one committee
  • Represent JCA as an ambassador
  • Connect JCA staff with important opportunities for marketing, advocacy, and development
  • Attend Board and committee meetings
  • Make a personal annual financial commitment of at least $1,000
