What do I need to do? Use your creativity to help increase public awareness of the importance of saving priority seating on Ride On buses for older adults and people with disabilities in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Examples: use of photos, posters, videos, morning announcements, interviews for your school paper, and social media (using hashtag #SAVETHESEATMC).
Then write a one-page summary explaining your campaign: what you did, who you reached, how many people you potentially reached, and how you believe you effectively increased public awareness of the importance of saving the seat on Ride On buses in Montgomery County, Maryland.
How do I win? High-school and middle-school students who attend school in Montgomery County are eligible to participate. Projects will be judged by a team of older adults and people with disabilities who are part of an advisory panel working on this initiative. Winners will be selected at the school level.
What do I win? There are three levels of prizes: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Prizes will be Amazon gift cards and Youth Cruiser Passes. Award amounts range from $50 to $250 per winner.
