Leslie Fried

Leslie Fried has been an elder law attorney and advocate since 1985. For most of her career, she worked for nonprofit organizations where she advocated for improving access to public benefits for older adults to enhance their economic and health security. For 14 years, she directed a Medicare Advocacy Project for the National Alzheimer’s Association and American Bar Association, identifying and addressing barriers to Medicare eligibility and coverage for individuals with dementia. At the NCOA, she directed a national resource center that offered assistance and resources to states and community organizations assisting older adults, including providing technical assistance to SHIP programs throughout the country regarding access to Medicare and Medicare Savings Programs.
