Join us at Ring House for an in-person seminar. Enjoy coffee, snacks and an engaging conversation featuring Rafael Espinoza, State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Director. Espinoza served in the healthcare industry for 30 years. He specialized in Medicare and Medicaid working in both the private and public sectors.

Espinoza will focus on Medicare fraud prevention.

  • Gain an understanding on how to distinguish between fraud and error.
  • Learn when a provider is committing abuse.
  • Learn how to recognize phone scams and social security scams and where to report them.

Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM) is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education learning activities and maintains full responsibility for this program. This training qualifies for 1 Category 1 continuing education units.
